killed Links of London

On Monday, Modesto resident Susie Uhrik brought a blanket she had planned to give to Keith. Links of London when she saw the memorial and learned he had been killed. Within a matter of minutes, Uhrik was one of a halfdozen people who came to pay their respects or tell a story about Keith. They were dumfounded that anyone would want to hurt him. "There was a light about him that was different," Uhrik said. "Sometimes angels come to this earth to teach us things. I think he was an angel." Curt Ellis said he often wondered the same thing. "The man meant a lot to me and he touched me in a unique way," Ellis said. Links of London Bangles said Keith's kind eyes made him approachable. Despite having no home or job, Keith was a shoulder to lean on when Ellis was out of work. "Sometimes I envied him for his simple life he never complained, he was just happy," Ellis said. Keith may have come to terms with his circumstances, but he had a turbulent past he didn't like discussing with the people he met while living on the streets. Keith was born and raised in Modesto. He married his first wife, Theresa Hannah, when he was . "I fell in love immediately. Those blue eyes and that black hair, he had an Elvis Presley look," Hannah said. "Everyone said we were too young, and they were right." The couple divorced after two years, but out of the marriage came Keith's only daughter, Amanda Keith. "He was a great father and a hard worker," Hannah said. "Links of London Gingerbread Man wouldn't have hurt a fly and he would have given you the shirt off his back if that's all he had." But from early on, Keith struggled with an addiction to heroin and pills. It contributed to ending his marriages to Hannah and his second wife, Sherrie Keith. "Ty was the type of man who was devoted. He devoted his whole heart," Hannah said. "When I left him, it was like ripping his heart out the same with Sherrie." Keith was in and out of rehab, but when he was sober he coached softball, worked at Western Farm Service on Claus Road and was a bricklayer. Amanda Keith said her dad often would take her fishing or to work with him. "When I was really little, he was an active drug addict. He got clean when I was about or , and he stayed clean until right before I had my son," Amanda Keith said. "Throughout Links of London Bee Charm of it, he never failed to make me feel like the most important person in the room. I've always been proud to say he was my father, no matter where he was in his life." He helped raise grandson Tyler James Beckhart, for the first four years of the child's life, when Amanda Keith was battling her own addiction.
